A Better Life

Parents who struggle with drug and alcohol addiction reach a breaking point when they realize how it affects their children.

Many recognize the same fear and confusion they felt when they were a child growing up in the home of an addict. They want to change, but the shame leaves them feeling hopeless.

Restoration

On the path of restoring their lives, the participants who heal at Finding the Family will learn practical tools to live healthy, fruitful lives. After obtaining gainful employment, they learn to budget, pay back delinquent debts as well as paying a participation fee for their care.

“God is truly working at this place and His Holy Spirit can be felt, seen, and even heard as you travel the farm. The ministry is truly special.”

"I was delivered from the substances - but my "walk" was my broken hear."

"Thank you Finding the Family for never giving up on me when the whole world did, for showing me how to lean on God and truly find the heart of God and ultimately become a father to my kids and husband to my wife. You treated me like I was part of your family from day one -before you ever knew me. You showed me how the Father leaves the 99 for the 1 and for that me and my family are forever grateful."

Thank you Finding the Family for giving me a safe place to heal, learn, grow, and putting God in the center of every part of my life. By giving up my freedoms, I have gained my freedom. By giving up my shame and sin, I learned my value and stepped into God’s calling. By giving up my past, my family has a future. Finding the Family is a ministry that is for people who want the heart change that leads to life change! Not only am I changed by God through Finding the Family, but my entire family is and will be for generations to come. It is the embodiment of obedience to God, steadfastness in the Lord, perseverance, faith, and love.

Finding the Family has helped me in all areas of my life by finding my new foundation. Not only am I learning how to build a firm foundation in Christ, but I have learned to grow, learned to be bold, to love and be honorable by standing firm in all situations through everyday life. My foundation is being built on these very grounds taught at Finding the Family. I am no longer in bondage that once ruled my life. Addiction took over every part of my life, took my kids, my job, my family, my freedom, and any love I had for myself. In 2023, I decided to take my life back, in which God gave it to me. With a little bit of sweat, tears, and love, Finding the Family taught me that, wit God, anything is possible!

Finding the Family has taught me how to serve others. What is looks like to be a living sacrifice to the Lord. I have grown not only spiritually, but also physically, emotionally, financially, and relationally. I am on the path of walking in freedom in every area of my life. I am so thankful for all I have learned, but especially how to be a safe mother and friend.

Before Finding the Family I was so sad, suicidal and all around broken. Every time I used I was aiming for death. While out at the farm they taught me how to cope by relying on God. After Finding the Family I'm living for Jesus, got my beautiful family back together and I have Peace in my heart/spirit!

Before coming to Finding the Family, I completed an inpatient program and wasn't seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. Finding the Family helped me walk through the process of getting custody of my son back. Through this God taught me to keep taking the next step. I'm now enjoying life with my son!
